Rifkind.Com is currently being reorganized. 

History:  This site was initially established for no particular purpose and was, at best, a compilation of bookmarks presented in some feigned  sense of organization.  As I am a history teacher, many of the bookmarks were based on social studies content and skills so I claimed it to be an "educational enrichment resource".  Later I began to use it to catalog some artifacts and ancient coins thus giving birth to the Rifkind Museum.  All of this was done as a lark, for good clean fun with absolutely no knowledge of website design, organization or management.  What developed was organizationally akin to downtown Manhattan which also developed in similar manner to this site, that is to say difficult to navigate, impossible to drive through, detours and broken up roads everywhere and in terms of content, more points of interest than any 20 other cities.

This served me more than adequately until it became apparent that some type of maintenance was necessary in order to keep the site functional.  To this end I am trying to reorganize the site structure and update the content.  Specifically, now that I know somebody somewhere is reading some part of this site, I want to fix some obvious typos and take out old links.  I'm going to start a fresh rebuild and incorporate information from the old incarnation as is appropriate. 

Another unintentional consequence of having this online outlet was the diverse email it generated.  At first it was fun but some people actually thought I knew I was doing.  While I am secretly proud of my modest assortment of collectables I am no expert on anything.  My standard disclaimer applies to anything on any page in which content is provided by me and it is as follows; What do I know?
